Trick-or-Treat?

I wanted to share my Halloween card for this year.  I have already sent this to my friends and family and wanted to wait until now to post.  It was a lot of fun to make and I really just pulled some old things out to make this card.  It's a tri-fold type and overlaps a small amount in the middle.  I used the Cuttlebug Haunted House embossing folder and then distressed the front with Ranger Distress Ink.  I stamped the fence using a stamp from Martha Stewart.  The sentiment tombstone is from Inkadinkado.  When you open the card you see the mummy which is a die from Sizzix. It took many cuts and then you have a few left over parts, but it was worth all the work.  I finished up the inside using some leftover stick-on sayings of "trick or treat" or "happy halloween".  I hope you enjoy the card and have a fun Halloween.  ~Nancy~

I'm Back

Ok, so I must apologize. I said I was going to do better this week, but just did not get a post done.   I do have several cards completed that I will start to share.  I am starting a series that focuses on using your border punches to make dimensional flowers.  Some punches are being made specifically for that purpose and I have found that many other punches work very well.  I will feature cards using some of these punches along with a fun Tim Holtz die for flowers.  I hope you enjoy these ideas and pull out some of your punches and try to use them in a different way than they were intended.

This card uses one of the new EK Success punches here, that have been introduced to make dimensional flowers.  I have also used the same punch as a decorative border.  This card will probably not be something that will mail easily, but if you are enclosing it in a present, it will work great.  You can also make these flowers and place them on a package or gift bag along with a bow.  Great for the upcoming holidays.

Loads of Fun

Hello All!  It been 2 long days for me at work but tomorrow will just be a couple of hours.  I want to share this fun little card tonight that I colored using a Stampendous clear stamp.  I just thought it was so cute and simple.  I colored with Copic Markers and then used Glossy Accents all over the face of the washing machine door.  You could also use a shaker box circle (domed plastic) and put some fun tiny glass beads or glitter inside.  I did once again use scrap paper and a fun EK Success border punch to create the bubble shapes on the side. Other supplies are listed below.
Thanks for stopping by.  ~Nancy~

For a Special Boy

So today in the mail my husband received a package from my niece's little boy.  Drew is in kindergarten and from what I understand from his grandmother, he has been drawing many pictures and sending them to people that he knows.  Well, our picture is of a dragon, so we decided to make him a special card and send it his way. My husband pulled and image off the web and in turn I have colored with my Copic markers.  I attached a couple of pictures for your enjoyment.

Big Shoes

I wanted to make a quick post tonight with this cute little girl in her Mama's pair of shoes.  Do you think they could be a pair from the 'Jimmy Choo' collection?  I had to color the soles red.  Anyway, I colored the image with Copic Markers and pulled the papers from my scrap box.  This is the Big Shoes image from Mo Manning.  Hope you enjoy.  ~Nancy~

Copic Class Tomorrow

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the Copic 2 Class at All About Pictures.  We are going to create this fun card from the Mo Manning image.  I have posted this card before, but  in case you missed it here it is again.  We also will focus on developing some color 'recipes' for hair so that everyone has go-to formulas.

I will also be introducing the projects for November to the class, but have posted the cards below for a sneak peak.  As you can see I have once again used the 3 X 3 mini cards because they are quick and easy plus, can be used as a fun place card for dinner.  Hope you enjoy and if you have any questions please email me or call All About Pictures to sign up.  319-364-4141

Fun Xmas Ornament

A quick post today.  As I'm planning for my dimensional flower class at the local scrapbook store later this month, I decided that I could make some mini poinsettia's to attach to pre-made ornaments.  I picked this wood ornament up at Michael's for only $1.00.  I constructed the small paper flower, made a ribbon bow and replaced the thin silver cord with some twine.  I used Zip Dry adhesive to attach everything, but I think hot glue would be a better option.  What a great little ornament gift and a good way to use all those extra petals you have when using the McGill Paper Punched.  Hope you Enjoy.  ~Nancy~

Let's Do Laundry

As some of you know and I have mentioned several times that I teach a couple of classes at our business location.  Several employees have Cricut machines and we have started a class that walks through the features and makes fun projects.
We started with a fun scrapbook paper that worked well with our clothes line.  Using the Cricut cartridge,'Country Life', we cut the clothes line and clothes. We selected patterned scrap paper for the clothes and then used mini clothespins instead of the small paper pieces from the Cricut images.  I've considered adding a small bird stamp up in the sky or another way to use this is by placing it in a magnet frame and then add some fun magnets up in the sky.  Hope you enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.
