Sew sorry you're under the weather

It's been a busy weekend here at my house.  My sister was visiting and we did some crafting and shopping which is the norm when we are together. We also went to the bridal shower for my future daughter-in-law, where I ate way to many cake balls.
My sister and I started looking at some Cricut cartridges and discovered, 'Country Life'. This sewing machine intrigued us, so I started pulling scraps out of my bins and this is what I came up with.
Hope everyone had a great weekend and stay cool this upcoming week.

This little Tea Cup girl is so cute.  Unfortunately the picture doesn't show the exact colors.  She really is very pink and bright.  My husband ask me what was wrong with her hair and I politely explained that she had a head piece on her head.  I guess because I have spiky hair he thought she had spiky hair too, well at least that's how I interpreted the image.

Flower Cart

I've chosen another Northwoods stamp to share on this card.  I colored it with my Copic Markers and I must admit the pile just kept growing.  There are 26 colors on the card which includes the background airbrushing. I used the Curved Rectangles Spellbinders die for the image and for the fence I pulled out one of my old Sizzix dies.  The fence was cut from Real Cherry Wood paper by Creative Imaginations.  Using some Distress Ink, I colored the leaves of some paper flowers and glued a resin flower in the middle.  The sentiment  and ribbon is from Stampin' UP!

Ribbit...

This Penny Black image was so much fun to color.  I think that I like this little guy almost as much as I like Mimi.  I am sorry to admit that I don't have the Copic Marker colors written down for this card.  The frog on the log is from a Stampin' UP! collection that I like to use alot..  The image was cut using Spellbinders Curved Rectangles die, with some airbrushing and a Spica pen for faux stitching.  The green check paper is from one of my new found favorites by Amuse'.
Hope you have a good weekend and thanks for stoppin by.

I've Got the Blues

I recently picked up a new Tim Holtz die that I knew I wanted to use to make this flower.  I have several old books that I use when I need script paper.  These pages tend to be a lighter weight of paper so I thought they would work well to make the flower.  So, I cut 4 sets of flowers and layered them, securing with a brad.  I pulled the layers up to shape the flower, then sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Supplies:
Printed Paper - K & Company, Black and Ivory Fusion
Black and Blue cardstock - Core'dination Black Magic
Ribbon:
  Crochet - Stampin' UP!
  Blue - Michaels
Sentiment Stamp - Stampin' UP!
Tim Holtz Die - Tattered Florals
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Sapphire
Punches:
Scallop Oval and Label - Stampin' UP!
Stick Pin - Yellow Bicycle

Sock Monkey

You've heard me mention the special little boy that I know and this was another card that I made for him.  I colored him with my Copic Markers and used several Spellbinder Dies.
The stamped image is from Stampin' UP!

Sly Fox

This sly fox is very cute.  As he pears out the little hole in the tree, you can almost see his smile.
I taught several people to make this card and I was just amazed at how much fun they had.
We used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the tree and a Cricut cartridge for the Fox.

Candy Anyone?

I love to add a little bling to my cards, so when I saw this bubblegum machine stamp I knew I had to fill it.
This is also a good way to use all those embellishments you have left in ones and twos.

Peony Dimensional Flowers

I will be offering two classes this month at All About Pictures that focus on Dimensional Flowers.  This Class will focus on the Peony.  We will make several flowers during class and you should be able to take supplies with you to make another flower.  You need to have the basic McGill Paper Blossoms techniques mastered to take this class.
If you would like information or want to save your space, please call All About Pictures here in Cedar Rapids.
Class date is July 27th, 6:00 - 8:00

Small Dimensional Flowers

I just wanted to give you a peak at the Small Dimensional Flowers that
I will be teaching this month at All About Pictures.
These flowers are a much smaller scale and actually sit relatively flat on a
card or scrapbook page. Most of these flowers can be made with some basic punches
that most people probably already have.
We will still use the McGill tool set to add a little dimension so the flowers
have some attitude!  If you are interested in learning more or want to save you space
please call All About Pictures.
Class Date:  July 25th, 6:00 - 8:00

Boo-t-iful Halloween

I am a shoeaholic and Love these Witches Boots.
They definitely are stylin.
Hope this get's your mind thinking for Halloween 2011.

Lets Cool The Heat?

I'm posting these images hoping they provide you with some relief from the HEAT!  Not sure where you are in the country, but here in the Midwest, we could sure use some rain.
Looking over my cards I found several ice skaters that I've colored with Copic Markers.
As you can see I like to take an image and color it several times with different colors.
I am always surprised at how it changes the look of the card.

The image below is from Stampin' UP!

Christmas in July

Thought I would share a few Christmas cards as I make these post.  This is a digital image colored with Copic Markers.  Several Spellbinder dies were used along with my sewing machine, ribbons and gems.

Another Northwoods stamp for the Holidays.  These stamps are so good to use when I pull out my Copic Markers.  I chose to use reds and pinks to color the poinsettias.
Imagine the possibilities.

Choo Choo

This little train is from a Stampin' UP! collection.  I colored the stamp by using Stampin' Write Markers then cut each piece out with some detail scissors.
I used black rick rack for the train track and some black metal gems for the smoke.

Gnomeo oh Gnomeo

I am just in LOVE with this little guy.  Not sure if I fell in love after seeing Gnomeo and Juliet, but I just giggle when I see him.  This image is from There She Goes Again and colored with Copic Markers.
Oh, and by the way, I DO NOT have Gnomes in my yard!

Sunflowers

I have used this image from Northwoods stamps many times.  Copics were used to color the flowers and vase along with my faithfull Distress Inks for the background.

Red is for Strawberries

This image is from Flourishes and was colored using Copic Markers.  I enjoyed making this card because it reminds me of summertime.

Summer Time Fun

This Penny Black Stamp is one of my favorites.  I love all things Mimi! I'm sure you will see her again soon if I have anything to do with it.
Thanks for stopping by....

Embrace Life

I love to use White embossing powder and Distress Inks.  This card is such a simple design with a BIG impact.

My Feathered Friends

This fun card I made in several colors.  I used the Caged Bird Die From Tim Holtz and then placed the small bird inside using the Bird Builder Punch from Stampin' UP!
Several Butterflies add a little fun to finish the card off.

The Robotz Are Coming

As I have promised for a while, I've been working on my blog.  I have gathered a few of my cards to display for your viewing. I know a very special little boy that likes to get cards, so I pulled out the Robotz Cricut cartridge and starting cutting.  Well, the end results was 4 cards with all the pieces parts.  So here's what I had left.....by the way this little boy LOVES pop-dots and thinks a red glitter pen is "Magic"
